I also love emulation, and recently the Switch emulation scene has advanced too much, at least regarding the yuzu emulator, that I decided to try it with Diablo III. And this videogame is one of the few that are actually played best in console for two reasons: controls are really really good (so nice that I prefer them to mouse and keyboard), and the aforementioned offline play (PC requires persistent online connectivity even if you play alone). But sadly there is no cross-platform account support, so my progress in the console (way ahead of PC because I can and did play offline a lot) can't be merged. Its just sad, I do really like Diablo 3, I loved Diablo 2, but the more ''choices'' of your build was kinda stupid to me to being with, by choice all it meant was ''go online, get an optimal build, follow that'', so not really a choice for late game stuff, I think it streamlined things well inspite the hate it got.Combining PC and Nintendo Switch, I've spent hundreds of hours playing Diablo III. I know that you can do some mappers to use controller, but then you dont get the prompts, which is quite confusing, you can also do controller via adding the Diablo 3 exe to steam and getting a custom rebind some people made, its, it works, but again, no prompts, its confusing. Yeah, I played it couch coop with my buddy on PS4 and was like ''wow i can play this for longer'', not only that, the offline mode is cool too, the servers are GOING to die someday, so in my mind, with 4 coming out, they should just replace it with the EC version for PC aswell, I hate always online games cause of this, they WILL die someday, and if the company doesn't do an offline mode, its just gonna die.
